His children were inherited serfs of Ioannes Sguros Orestes in Melnik (ἐντὸς τοῦ κάστρ̣ου Μελενίκου ὀσπήτια ἀπὸ γονικότητος καὶ ανθρώπους γονικοὺς αὐτοῦ τινάς, ἤγουν...καὶ τοὺς παῖδας Ἰωάννου τοῦ Κατωτικοῦ λεγομένου).
