Description
The Church of St. Nicholas in Bijelo Polje was built before the 14th century, probably in the time of the Serbian King Stefan Uroš II Milutin (reigned 1282-1321) at the end of the 13th century. It had several phases of development. The current church, which is surrounded by a cemetery, dates to the 16th century. It is a three-nave basilica with a dome and a semicircular apse. It was fresco decorated around 1550. To the North-West of the church is a free-standing bell tower.
