Description
The Church of St. George is situated on a hill near Janjina, in the middle of the Pelješac Peninsula. Today in ruins it was probably built in the second half of the 9th and the beginning of the 10th century as a single-nave edifice with a semicircular apse. It was built by certain Peter (Petar), whose name is written in the Latin inscription on the stone architrave on the altar screen.
Arounf the Church is a Late Antique cemetery.
