Its was a single nave building with an apse (semicircular on the inside and rectangular on the outside), built probably in the 9th century and in the 11th century, with the addition of lesenes and girdles in the interior, it became a vaulted edifice. In the 13th century the Church was extended on its Western side. In the 17th century, a new building was erected on the grounds of the former, now destroyed, Church of St. Ivan.
