Description
The Church of St. Andrew is situated in Pile, in Western part of Dubrovnik, outside the city walls. It was probably built between the 10th and 11th century.
Its a single nave edifice with three bays and a dome. After the establishment of an independent chaplaincy at the parish of St. Michael in 1512, the early medieval church served as the presbytery of a larger church building. Today from the original medieval Church of St. Andrew, the Eastern wall with the apse has been largely preserved while the rest of the building has been remodeled.
