Panik, Church of Unknown Dedication | Place | The church in Panik is of unknown dedication and is situated in the village of Panik. Its remains were submerged by the artificial Bileća Lake (Bilećko jezero). It was a single nave edifice with an apse, which was rectangular both on the outside and the inside, and a narthex. The church was fresco painted, dated probably to the 12th century. The frescoes are similar in style to the Church of St. Thomas in Kuti and some churches in the South of Italy. |
