The Church of St. Petka is mentioned by the Serbian king Stefan Uroš II Milutin in his charter for the Monastery of St. George-Gorg in the year 1300 and was to be found in the vicinity of the Church of the Mother of God of "the Three Hands" (до свете петке и до свете троѥроучице).
