In 1299/1300 or May 1308 (?) the Byzantine Emperor Michael IX Palaiologos - at the instigation of the Serbian King Stefan Uroš II Milutin - donated and confirmed the donation of the vineyards of the Church of the Holy Virgin Borišičina in the upper town of Skopje to the Monastery of Chilandar.
