Description
The Serbian Despot Jovan Uglješa donated the Monastery of the Holy Mother of God Spelaiotissa in Melnik with its properties to the Monastery of Batopedi on Mount Athos in January 1365. On this occassion the inventory of all possessions was isssued. According to the inventory the monastery owned the land between the gate of the lower town of Melnik to Tripetes, which Stefan Hrelja had given to the monastery (καὶ τὴν γὴν ῂν ἔδωκεν ὀ Χρᾴλεις εκεινος πρὸς τὴν θείαν μονὴν τοῦ Σπηλαίου, ἀπὸ τὴν πόρταν τοῦ ἐμπορίου ἔως τὴν Τριπητήν).
