Description
The Monastery of Saint George-Gorg is the beneficiary of three Charters of Tsar Constantine I Asen, King Stefan Uroš II Milutin and Vuk Branković. It is nowadays eradicated, but has two possible localisations. According to Popovic one of the most probable localisations is the Sultan-Murat-Mosque in Skopje. According to Popovic the Monastery was located on the so called Tophansko Polje, which is nowadays the quarter called Čair.
