Description
The Holy Mount Athos is a mountain and a peninsula in North-Eastern Greece and an important centre of Orthodox monasticism. In the period from September 1347 until April 1348 the Serbian Emperor Stefan Uroš IV Dušan (reigned 1331-1355) issued several charters for the monasteries on the Holy Mount Athos. In April 1351 the Emperor Stefan Dušan enacted a charter on Athos for the Monastery of Zographou.
