He and his brother Demetrios Angelos Metochites established contact with their brother-in-law Ioannes Palaiologos, who was revolting against the emperor. Michael Laskaris Metochites seems to be relieved of his post, since Nikephoros Basilikos was holding the office from 1328. Some of the sons of Theodoros Metochites were in prison in 1332, among them maybe also Michael Laskaris Metochites. |
