No medieval written sources have been preserved on its history. The monastery's church is a triconchos with an octahedral dome. Its construction is dated to the period from 1371 to 1392. Its narthex in the West has its entrance in the South, while the naos is accessed through the narthex and a door in the Western wall. The monastery's church has a three-sided apse. Above the entrance to the naos (on the inner side) a donor inscription in Slavonic from the year 1591 is preserved. The frescoes are dated to the 16th, 17th and the end of the 19th / beginning of the 20th centuries. The monastery's church is surrounded by adjoining buildings. The monastery's main entrance lies in the South-East, while a side entrance is located in the North-East. |
